By writing, you exercise your brain and begin to activate various areas such as the hippocampus (memory), the frontal lobe (organization), and the reticular activating system (filtering).  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build your vocabulary with apps such as <a href=\"https:\/\/thevocabulary.app\/\">Vocabulary<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/magoosh.com\/vocabulary-builder\/\">Vocabulary Builder by Magoosh<\/a>.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use simple, clear and relatable language depending on the audience.  Remember that less is more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use exercises for speech <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=S5f0FKhPax0\">articulation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/shorts\/m-sSBsxHbHY\">enunciation<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gp2VvmUJJc8\">clarity<\/a>.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practice speaking through application of new vocabulary and use of proper articulation, annunciation, speed and tonality.    <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practice delivery with proper body language, adequate use of hands and reduced body movement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Join organizations such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toastmasters.org\/\">Toastmasters International<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/nsaspeaker.org\/\">National Speakers Association<\/a>.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If preparing for a public speech or a presentation, know your audience, tailor the message correctly, narrow the content, and rehearse.  Most importantly, tell a story.
