A wise man introduced me to a concept of the blue flame during my recent Camino. The concept can be ascribed to one of my favorite quotes by Mark Twain, “[t]he two most important days in your life are the day you are born, and the day you find out why.” The “why” refers to discovering our purpose. Our calling. The reason for which we are created.
A blue flame is the strongest and hottest part of a fire. When the flame burns blue, it represents maximum efficiency and highest intensity.
The Blue Flame concept – theme of this site – represents fullness of life. In order to experience the Blue Flame of life, our hearts must burn with utmost intensity. And to experience the greatest heat from the source, our hearts need the Blue Flame.
